The Small BusineessAdministration with the ODOD, SBDC, Braintree, SCORE and PNC Bank are sponsoring a nine monthe series of seminars to introduce area entrepreneurs and small business owners to Federal, State and regional support resources.

Session 1 "The Resource Network'

This is an ongoing monthly series, each monthly follow-up session willl focus on a particular resource. Participants should include anyone who is considering starting a business and anyone who is already in business and needs to know more about regional resources.

ITAC

The North Central Ohio International Trade Assistance Center

The North Central Ohio International Trade Assistance Center, ITAC, provides services to small and medium size businesses that are new to export or want to expand export activity. The service is made possible through a grant awarded to Braintree from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Ohio Department of Development's Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The ITAC provides export assistance services at no cost to clients. Fees may be charged for specialized projects. The purpose of the ITAC is to provide counseling and training to small and medium sized businesses in order to promote growth through exports.

The ITAC offers services to assist businesses with developing export compliance plans, international trade plans, country trade profiles and document requirements for international shipments.

The ITAC can assist with the identification of land, ocean, and air carriers for international logistics activities.
ITAC works in partnership with the following agencies:

          •U.S. Export Assistance Center, U.S. Commercial Services Division www.export.gov
          •The Ohio Department of Development, U.S. International Trade Division
            www.odod.state.oh.us/itd
          •Small Business Development Centers of Ohio www.odod.state.oh.us
          •U.S. Small Business Administration www.sba.gov
          •Service Corps of Retired Executives www.score.org
