Shelby's Karl Milliron was awarded this year's Chairman Award at the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development's annual meeting Feb. 11 at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center.
Milliron, a successful businessman, followed in his late father Grant Milliron's footsteps in business and philanthropy, said he wanted to give thanks to God and his family as he accepted the award.
"I've had great mentors and leaders throughout my life," he said. "My father really taught me the lessons of community, giving back to the community. The community supports you. You've got to support them back."
