Braintree Business Development Center attended the 33rd annual OEFFA Conference representing Kent State University Cooperative Development. OEFFA organizes the state's largest sustainable agriculture conference, hands-on workshops, and seasonal farm tours of Ohio's finest sustainable and organic farmers. OEFFA also provides organic certification services for growers, and an apprenticeship program to help students gain hands-on experience. OEFFA advocates for policies that protect and benefit sustainable agriculture, research and education, farm and farmland practices, and citizens' right to know. Bob Cohen conducted two seminars: The Role of Cooperative and Marketing and Farm Succession Planning. Braintree also participated in trade shows and discussed the benefits of local food systems.
