Trademarks have “inherent value” as a form of intellectual property that can identify your business and give you a competitive edge. In this session you can learn how to identify and select trademarks. Jake Ward, Registered Patent Attorney, will discuss the basics of trademarks for entrepreneurs and business people interested in learning more about the steps that businesses should take to secure their name and logo.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. There is no charge to participate, but preregistration is required.  

Participants will be given the option of attending in person, or joining us online. For those attending in-person, we will serve pizza and drinks immediately after the session. Those attending online will be emailed the meeting link during the week prior to the event. All participants will have the opportunity to schedule an individual follow up meeting with the presenter at no charge.

This session is Part Three of a five-part “Ask the Expert Series” on patent law, general business law, trademark law, copyright law, and trade secrets laws. The remaining sessions will take place on September 8^th, and October 13^th.
